Welcome to the Speyside Whiskies Tasting event hosted by the Northern Ireland Wine & Spirit Institute. Don't miss out on this exciting event. Hosted by Matthew Porritt who moved from New Zealand to Scotland to follow his dream of working in the whisky industry. Speyside has a greater concentration of distilleries than anywhere else in Scotland. It produces more than 60% of Scotland’s single malt, from the lighter Glenlivet to the more sherried Macallan. The ‘Spirit of Speyside’ Festival is an annual event with a whisky school in which Matthew is involved. He will school us in the whiskies of Speyside, showing a diverse range and inviting us to taste some whiskies blind. Can you tell your hogsheads from your puncheons?
